Review where every help desk article link actually lands
Check the destination, audience, access requirement, and promised action instead of testing status alone.

Direct answer
An HTTP success does not prove that a link is useful. Open each destination from the reader’s permitted view and confirm that it reaches the page, form, or instruction named in the sentence.
Check sign-in requirements, regional variants, anchors, downloads, and contact routes. A link that sends a customer to an internal login or a generic homepage has failed its job even if it returns a page.
Use descriptive link text that still makes sense outside the surrounding paragraph. Do not publish guessed replacement URLs when an approved source has moved.
Add the important destinations to the article review record. When one changes, inspect the macros and related pages that reuse it before closing the repair.
